High throughput Epitaxy Solution for Compound Semiconductors

The goal of decarbonization and reduction of energy consumption is driving the need for higher efficient electrical system solutions. Power supplies and power inverters for data communication, renewable energy generation and automotive electrification based on WBG materials such as GaN and SiC are first key applications and all forecasts are revising up the demand for WBG materials to address Power markets. To sustain the current adoption acceleration, critical check points in WBG material manufacturing must be met in regards to performance, fab efficiency and cost per wafers. We will present how AIXTRON is addressing these check points with its dedicated high throughput Epitaxy solutions .

Nicolas is responsible for GaN Power & RF market and the development of related deposition equipment. Over 10 years spent with AIXTRON, including several positions with Process development, Project Management and Service, and has overall, more than 10 years of experience in MOCVD technology in Germany and China. Attained Phd in Physics from RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany.
