Taking the power from silicon

Complex device design using predictive modelling

Talk will present a design technology co-optimisation flow that links manufacturing to technology performance. As wide band gap semiconductors advance, new technology design generations are needed. To explore available design space, automated tools must be used. These couple predictive models that begin with process simulation and end with circuit and system design. Parametrising various phenomena helps to obtain optimised device designs for target applications. Using a virtual split lot approach for a design of experiment sweep provides a good view of available landscape. Tighter optimisation can then probe promising zones for best compromise.
